The 3 D-rings make the harness versatile and allow flexible attachment of the leash, depending on your needs and application. 3 different modes through 3 different D-rings:

I guess I misjudged myself and that harness is a little too big, which is not a problem since my furry friend is still growing and I assume that he will fill it out.
